We can make it happen, we can change the world now

My unconscious woke me up this morning with the song. "Let's Get it Started".
What good, smart, fun, creative and wise inner accompaniment I have.

Followed by "Dialogue" by Chicago. To which I've been dancing, singing, crying, smiling and acting out.

This song rocks and it's words are true.
I urge you to dwell in the positive. What you imagine and project with feeling, happens.

Give it a listen, make your decision, and see how your day and world changes.
I'd love to hear from you, let me know how it goes!

I had to look this up on youtube so I could really hear the lyrics. Hmmm, while it expresses a positive and hopeful view..."we change the world", in light of what is happening right now in the world, and for sure with the man who is now holding office in the U.S., I would say I'm not feeling that hopeful. In fact, I'm leaning more to the "repression" side. I know that there are many who are doing all they can to make a change...I think we are up against some really difficult times that are going to call on much courage, and perhaps even a revolution to make the changes that would bring about a change in the world. As I write these words, I am holding out for a rise up in the people. Thanks for sharing this Robin

Thank you for reading, contemplating and sharing, Trish.

I was aware when I wrote this that it would likely attract comments with a perspective such as you've expressed here; this is what I wanted: dialogue, as the song is aptly titled.

We know that there are multiple realities at the same time, right?
So, while every point has its validity, and all are intermingled - existing in the same Universe, I maintain that reality follows thought/attention/focus/feeling.

In that way, one can say that the external "reality" is a mirror of something within. In this case, probably collective and generational as well.

I am not political. It is not my way, though I respect and am grateful for those who deal with these themes strongly, with love and consciousness, respect and vision for the overall greatest good as the base.

I believe many ways are important and valid and that different people have different gifts and propensities regarding what they can and would offer.

I speak from there. I consciously distance myself from the current political issues and stories, as with my sensitivity it is detrimental to be involved with those energies. For better or for worse (in the opinions of others,) this is my decision.

I am confident the best way I can make a difference is by "working on myself" so that I can model the change I want to see, albeit without the intent or motive to change or convince anyone.
Also, because I am physically distant from these happenings, combined with my choice to not listen to or read the "news", it is surely easier for me to focus on "we can change the world now."

An uprising from the society would be amazing. The only way to change the system, which is infirm, is from outside the infirm system.
What will it take? Are the recent natural disasters enough or are people returning to their status quo already? I wrote about this in my last blog post. It is a quandary, for sure, discovering how to balance sobriety with mundane living and celebration.

I am changing my world by the amazing transformational work I am doing within. As my internal world transforms, dropping old stories and realities, new ones are emerging and replacing and I feel joy and excitement about what I can and will and am doing to help the world for the duration of my existence here.

I am learning so much and coming well-alive, like a corn plant sticking it's proud head up, bobbing in the field with its community.
It is from that reality, which I celebrate from my core in all directions - past, future, present, up, down and all around - that I proclaim the reality I feel, experience, see, project and radiate.

Those are my thoughts for now, Trish. While you may disagree, I know you understand and respect my way, as I respect yours.

Love,

Oh my dear friend, I don't disagree. You have much wisdom, and yes, there are many points that you make that I embrace. For example, the question of what is happening in the outside world a reflection of what is happening within us. And I definitely question that myself. We have so much negative, angry, and violent energy within and I ask myself how is it playing out in our world. I am aware that you have chosen to not watch the news or read the news and I can really appreciate that choice. There are limits for me as to how much I can take in of it myself, and yes, it is influencing my thoughts and feelings. I too know that the inner work I do with myself is how I do my tiny part in creating change, the kind of change I wish to offer at this time in my life. Thank you for opening this conversation my friend; as always you share from the heart.
