Why I Created this Five Ways to be Happy Journaling Course
I created this course because I lived most of my life either fighting, denying, or being afraid to know what made me happy. Why? Because if I had let myself know and really feel it, I would have had to take action. And I wasn’t prepared for the risks: losing what I had, hurting others, breaking agreements, being judged and being all alone.
Nevertheless, keeping myself in a situation where I felt invisible and disrespected, and in a lifestyle that was contrary to my values – made the lackof happiness undeniably evident.
Finally, I hit bottom. I left the life and lifestyle I’d been living and – the re-connection with myself and who I really am, was immediate and glorious.
I want that for everyone. I want that for you.
Your situation may not be so dramatic. Maybe you envision only tweaks on the horizon. Regardless, you can stay in whatever situation, until you know in your cells, as I did, that you have to make a change. But how much more enjoyable and self-accompanying to turn your focus toward what you do want, now. Not to mention empowering.
Here’s the thing: If you are in touch with makes you happy, you can use that information to craft your life, consciously. So much better than playing the weak one or the victim and letting others or society determine your decisions. Or missing your dream life because of procrastination, stagnation, or pure laziness. And much more fun! Even the most trusted, well-intentioned people aren’t you. Only you live inside of you. You’re the one who experiences and ultimately says “Yes,” to whatever you say yes to.
Thirteen years later, I followed my heart and dreams to the life I’m living now in a traditional Mexican mountain village. Giving myself the gift of the first three years with no obligations, no need to know the time or day, during which I gave myself completely to pleasure, my desires and flow – was the best gift I gave myself.
I learned that what makes me happy is crucial for my peace, self-connection and connection to the universe or “Spirit,” as you may think of it. Doing what made me happy replaced my prior 60-hour debilitating and illness-producing work weeks. It was nourishing. I felt strong.
The experience was also reaffirming to me, adding solidity and conviction that what I thought made me happy, really did make me happy. It wasn’t just a whim or me being rebellious against the status quo. This is really who I am.
I don’t expect you or anyone to do what I did, but it serves as a model, a knowing that I can hold up and confidently proclaim as important.
In this five week course:

I’ll share key ingredients of and routes to your happiness that will give you skills and awareness to create your dream life, that empowers you, serves your needs and desires, and finding, choosing and living the most fulfilling life.
